Gary Bankhead, underwater archeologist extraodinaire, presented to us the work he has been doing along the River Wear in Durham. Diving around the Elvet Bridge has been fruitful in revealing over 12,000 items from bodkins and scissors to coins and buttons. All the objects have been gifted to Durham University for detailed research and study.
