Held at Wrag Barn Golf and Country Club near Highworth on 12th October 2019 the star attraction at this fantastic evening of entertainment was a performance by Swindon’s famous Kentwood Show Choir. Led by the inimitable Sheila Harrod, it delivers songs from a vast repertoire with energy, passion, movement and style.  From blues to ballads, showstoppers to swing, classics to chart toppers, this Choir will take your breath away. The Kentwood Choir has helped raise over £1million for local and national charities.

From small beginnings in 1964 it has become one of the country’s leading show choirs. Kentwood’s Annual Show at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre is always a sell-out with rave press reviews.

The choir has performed in many of our Country’s well-known places, for example the Royal Albert Hall, Salisbury Cathedral, the Great Hall in St Bart’s in London, and the Theatre Royal in Windsor.  And abroad, in Germany, Austria, California, Poland, Romania, Ireland and Spain. TV appearances have included Opportunity Knocks, Noel’s House Party and Songs of Praise.

During dinner, table magic was conjured up by the Highworth magician, John Williams. Everywhere he goes John mesmerizes audiences with amazing tricks, including as a children’s entertainer on cruise ships around the Azores and the Mediterranean.

The Brewery Street Buskers, also from Highworth, provided music for dancing.  They have a wide ranging repertoire from blues, to jazz, through to easy listening.  They are sure to keep the dance floor full until midnight.
