Rough sleepers in Birmingham and across the UK have major problems in cold and harsh weather conditions which can and have led to death. In fact this group is no different to refugees seeking refuge across Europe. A fellow Rotarian from Erdington along with two friends have invented a potential solution.

After two large scale field trials and feedback from charities in two countries they are now ready to upscale. The new “Sleep Pod” project will be showcased at Pype Hayes Golf Club, Erdington on Monday 4th March 2019 during that nights’ meeting that starts @ 7.00pm. This will be an opportunity for fellow Rotarian’s to understand more about the problem, the potential solution and the Sleep Pod.

The Sleep Pod has had great real-world feedback and has proven to be easy to make, warm, dry and light weight amongst other properties that users value. So if you have time, contacts within this arena, keen volunteers and access to funds the "Sleep Pod” project would welcome your input and know-how.

A great opportunity for Rotarians to work together to make a difference to those less fortunate.
