ROTARY CLUB OF DONCASTER ST.GEORGE’S CHARITABLE TRUST

COMMUNITY GRANTS SCHEME 2019

GUIDANCE NOTES

CAN WE HELP YOU MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

Over the last thirteen or so years the  Rotary Club of Doncaster St. George’s, as part of its efforts to  support and be of service to the local community, has made grants to well over ninety local charities and community groups. In 2018 we made such grants to 31 different organisations, these grants totalled over £26,000. The grants are made possible by our local fund raising activities, such as our annual ‘Dragon Boat Race’, ‘Santa Sleigh ’ and ‘Classic Car Show’.

We are seeking again this year to make donations and we are inviting applications of up to £1000 each from relevant local charity and community groups. We seek to support organisations which may operate on a small budget or in a particular locality or community or for whom such an amount of money would make a real difference.

Applicants can apply for more than £1000 for special cases but our resources are limited and we may not be able to fund the full amount requested.

We are again keen to hear from groups who may be in the early stages of their development and for whom ‘seed corn’ money would help them get started, or other groups who find raising financial support difficult. We should also like to hear from groups who have a particular project that they need to finance.

If you are interested in applying for one of our community grants for your organisation then please read the relevant documents and complete the application form all attached below.

Please contact Clive at community.grants@doncasterstgeorges.org.uk with any enquiries.
