New latrine block for Kasoroza Primary School
Building upon our close co-operation with a local charity,
the Friends of North Kigezi Diocese, the club is pleased to confirm the
successful construction of a desperately needed pit latrine at the Kasoroza
Primary School in rural Uganda. The urgently needed toilet block was funded by
the club and has helped avert the threat of possible closure, and will ensure
the school is able to continue to meet the pressing needs of the local
community.
The latrine is brick-lined and is designed to provide a
sustainable solution to the needs of the school and its 220 pupils. It follows
an earlier project to ensure the provision of clean water to the Ihimbo and
Katerama areas of south western Uganda.
