A fascinating talk from our President Clyde Raine about two very different architects.
The first of these was Neave Brown who died only last year . Neave Brown was best known for his pioneering work on modernistic housing in the Camden area of london , his trademark being the Ziggurat style of terrace notably the Dunboyne Road and Alexandra road estates which are now listed.
The second was Augustus Pugin , a complete contrast in that he specialised in the heavily decorated Gothic Revival style . His most famous works being perhaps the Palace of Westminster and closer to home the church at Cheadle in Staffordshire.
