The idea is that teams enter the event and raise money which is split 50-50 with their chosen charity and Rotary’s chosen charities. We organise the event, pay for the swimming pool, sort out certificates etc. You sort out your teams and raise money through personal sponsorship for the event. The money is collected by the Rotary Club and 50% is returned to the team.
We welcome teams from primary and secondary schools, Guides, Scouts, Cadets, sports clubs, youth and other groups, organisations, businesses and families. Teams of up to 6, of all ages, swim in a relay at their own pace (it is not a race) for 30 minutes. All entrants must be over 8 years of age and able to complete 2 lengths of the 25m pool. They should also be aware that during their session they will be starting some of their lengths in the water at the deep end of the pool.
