A TRIP THROUGH
CATHAR COUNTRY

By member Christine Jones

At the first Rotary meeting of 2019 held on 8 January, member Christine Jones spoke about "The Cathars",
a religious group in the 11th century in the south of France and the Crusades which were then organised against the group.

Christine and husband Brian, also a member,  visited a number of places in the area associated with the Cathars, including Carcasonne, Alet les Bains, Arques, Puivert and Montsagur and showed pictures of the various venues.
