We had our annual Christmas lunch with a sumptuous three courses meal and lots of fellowship.thumbnail view
This year our annual Christmas lunch was on 19th December at the Market Tavern, our normal meeting place. The room was beautifully decorated for the occasion by the Market Tavern staff.
Over 40 people were present and so the room was completely full. Those present included several Honorary Members, wives of past members and presidents of the High School InterAct group, as well as our members and their partners.
The meal, 3 courses, followed by tea or coffee and mince pies was well received. Judging by the noise levels, everyone enjoyed themselves. Rtn. Stuart Blackwell told one joke - more than one line involved this time, and there were 3 raffle prizes including a bottle of champagne with 2glasses donated by Sims Metal Management during the Club visit earlier in the autumn.
President Andy presented a cheque to the staff of the Market Tavern to thank them for all their hard work and for giving excellent service during the year. He wound up proceedings by wishing everyone a Happy Christmas and New Year.
