Six Nations Chicken Racing

A fun night had by all, racing our special "Six Nations" chickens

On 17th November 2018 we held our inaugural "six nations" chicken race night at Scalford Village Hall. Over 75 intrigued folk enjoyed racing our specially made (by Rtn Iky Dodge) race-trained chickens down a 15m course.

There were cash prizes for the winning "jockeys" and the overall winners of the evening got a voucher for a restaurant meal for 2.

Together with the Tote betting, raffle & tickets over £1100 was raised on the night, which will be used to support causes in Melton & surrounding villages.

This is sure to become a popular annual event!
