Club Meeting

Tue, Mar 12th 2019 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

President-Elect Douglas Dow welcomed 13 other members, and guest Clive Horton.

Alastair Wilson reported on the very successful P7 Quiz held at Lomond School the previous day. It was entered by six schools, and won for the first time by Arrochar Primary School, who had a commanding lead. Ten rotarians were involved, including John McCormick's wife Linda, a member of the Kelvin club, and Gail Horton.

Douglas Dow asked for donations of alcoholic liquids to be brought next Tuesday for prizes for the Bridge Night in the Rugby Club on Friday March 22.

Gordon Burgess spoke about the memorial service for former long-serving member, treasurer and president Denis Taylor, held in Alloway last Tuesday, at which he represented the club. The service was very well attended, and the eulogy was given in tandem by Denis's nieces.

The weekly raffle for a whisky miniature was won by secretary Donald Fullarton.
