Weekly meeting as usual but Quiz Team at Langholm

Thu, Dec 20th 2018 at 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Members of the Club's Quiz team will be absent from the weekly meeting as they will be visiting the Langholm Club for the First Round of District 1020's annual quiz

On Thursday 20 December the club was split into two groups. One being our quiz team of four plus our President Mairhi, who journeyed to Langholm for a round of the District Quiz. Hawick on this occasion being victorious. Team members were Gus Neilson, Ron Smith, Ron Sutherland and Jim Walker.

The second group of seven members met as usual at Mansfield House Hotel, for an informal evening, with Vice President Linden in the chair.

It was largely a time of chat and stories, plus a very seasonal quiz, devised by Linden, based on Christmas Carol titles. This was won by Jock Thorburn, but being the season of goodwill, we all got a prize. A most enjoyable evening was had by all.

Christmas and New Year greetings are extended to all our members.
