Canadian Curlers Come a Calling

The Club hosted a party of 22 Canadian Curling Rotarians from the 2018 Canada to Scotland Rotary Curling Tour plus 10 Rotarians from Perth Kinnoull, Perth St John's, Auchterarder and Crieff .

The Guest Speaker was local curling legend David Hay who entertained us with a very interesting and amusing insight into his early curling career when he and his Scottish team first went to Canada with very few resources - but lots of escapades! How times have changed. Moving on a generation to when David was appointed Team Coach for Eve Muirhead's Scottish rink, the players had all become full-time professional sportswomen.
