The role of country alliances in firm's internationalisation.
The speaker will discuss how alliances between home and host country can aid in the internationalistion of businesses from one member country into other. His research, analysing a comprehensive longitudinal multi-industry data, published in the Cambridge Journal of Economics, suggest that country alliances reduce various types of transaction costs faced by business during the course of internationalisation. His work has imperative implications on the UK government’s Brexit policy.
