Lunch time meeting - discussion on the club's health check

On Thursday 15th November 2018 President Anne Sampson welcomed 18 Club Rotarians to this lunch time meeting which was held at the Gilvenbank Hotel, Glenrothes. 

There were 5 apologies for absence,

On reception, this week were Ewen Macdonald who said grace, Iain Haywood and Peter May,

Tracy Thomson advised that she was looking to collect the shoeboxes from the schools next week and for help for taking them up to Perth and then onward transmission to Eastern Europe for Christmas.

Brian Johnson mentioned that he was hoping to be able to obtain a shelter box in order that the club can have this displayed in the Glenrothes Town Centre during February.  He also advised that he had applied to become a member of the Development team to be on standby in the event of any world disaster where immediate assistance could be given.

Wilna Roger advised that she was going to book tickets again for the SNO for the Viennese concert at the Carnegie Hall on the 11th January 2019. She also mentioned that the Young Chef of the Year competition would again take place at Auchmuty High School next Thursday 22nd November.

Chris Grist mentioned that she was looking to book tickets for the Band of the Royal Marines Christmas Concert at Dunfermline Abbey on the 12th December 2018,

There was no speaker this week as this meeting allowed the members to discuss the future direction of the club considering meetings which have taken place recently with District representatives on club’s health checks

This coming week on Thursday 22nd November 2018 will be a lunch time meeting to be held at the Gilvenbank Hotel. please meet 12.45pm for starting at 12.55pm on reception will be Brian Johnson, Chris Grist and Peter May. Our speaker this week will be Walter Fletcher talking about the life and times of Walter Fletcher
