YOUNG PHOTOGRAPHER COMPETITION 2018 - The Beauty of Nature
Prepare to point, shoot and enter the National Rotary Young Photographer competition
ENTER NOW - deadline 30th November 2018
Task
To produce a portfolio of three photographs based upon the theme, ‘The Beauty of Nature’ in colour or black and white to be submitted electronically (to fit an optimum print size of A4).
No actual examples will be shown here as it will be up to the individual competitors to show their interpretation of the chosen topic.
In addition, each entrant should provide a brief sentence of what each photograph represents in relation to the theme.
Please Note: Photographs which include those of people under 18 years old must be accompanied by written permission from the parent, guardian, or carer of the person for those photographs to be submitted.
Judges
With appropriate skills, appointed by Rotary, will apply the judging criteria below.
Judging Criteria
Judges will consider technical merit; content and composition; imagination and style.
Only in exceptional circumstance, at the sole discretion of the competition organiser, will correspondence or discussions be entered into following a competition by the competition organiser.
The photographs of the winner of the local heat will be entered into the next round of the competition (district / regional / final).
Prizes
At all stages of the competition, competitors will receive a certificate of participation. The national winners will be given appropriate awards.
