Saturday 18th August
Mandy and Martyn Vanstone welcomed Rotarians and their partners on a visit to Rhude Farm, Chilsworthy. Rhude Farm has been in Martyn's family since 1918, and he and Mandy now run a dairy farm with about 300 cattle. They showed us around the farm, explained its operation, and answered the stupid questions posed by some members. A memorable, fascinating visit, where a good time was had by all, and everyone came away with a bit more knowledge than they started with.
The visit was followed by a pasty and cider meal at Val and Richard Tappin's home.
Our grateful thanks to Mandy and Martyn for the warm welcome and interesting visit, and to Val, Richard and their team of helpers for their hospitality.
