Annual Summer Festivities Parade Day 2018
Kirkcudbright Rotary were delighted along with the ladies of the Inner Wheel
to support the Summer Festivities at their 2018 Parade Day.
Moat Brae was again taken over by Rotary to provide complete family entertainment. Due to weather the location of various stands had to be changed but the quality and value shone through. At the Fisherman's Green the Inner Wheel provided hot drinks with an incredible array of home baking. A bottle stall provided the fun, and as you approached the ramparts to the Moat Brae - the Rotary Burger Bar. They put a whole new meaning to "beef in a bun"
Once on the upper ramparts the notorious Wheel of Fortune with a quiet, friendly, sophisticated gentle approach tempted families to reach a level of excitement they hardly dreamed of. Amazing prize vouchers supporting this event had been kindly donated by The Selkirk Arms Hotel, Rhubarb, Jake Irving Ceramics, Harbour Beauty Studio, Tesco & Co-op.
The Duck Race brigade trying to reach a record sale for the big swim on the 26th. Bat a Rat ... trialled by our Club President (failed) Face painting, Car racing, Pouch in a ladder, Coconuts .....endless challenges for the whole family. Then when you think it's all over - the Beer tent.
Despite a dull, damp and windy start...a very successful and enjoyable day.
