President's night at the Riverside in Aymestry

Wed, Oct 10th 2018 at 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Tonight we shared the fun and friendship of Ivan's President's night with formal attire but an informal approach with home spun entertainment.

As in line with previous years our Rotary President's evening lines up with the anniversary of the Charter of our Rotary Club which was on September 26th 1976. And as in previous years we had a great evening of good food, good service and great homespun entertainment. There was a mixture of poetry ( Ivan and Dorothy ) music ( Kevin ) jokes ( Norman, Howard, Martin ) a variety of prose ( Kim, Dave B, Larry ) and a quiz on Aussie Slang ( guess who!) The atmosphere was congenial and lively and a great time was had by all who attended, including guests Mary and Peter Grey, David and Gill Clement, Peter and Lynne Tew, Sandie Morgan, Kathy Campbell, Martin Holberow and Jeanne. The final touch was for the guests to vote Dorothy as the best entertainer of the evening and to award her the Richard Morgan Trophy for entertainment. Thanks to everyone who came and who entertained but especially to Chris Price who organised the whole evening with the help of Brian. Great job!
