Rotary club of Stirling meeting of 7th June.
PP Alan Rankin welcomed members to a fellowship meeting. There were no visitors. Last weekend we had two excellent club events, on Saturday the barbecue at Tom Thomson's, and on Sunday an outing to Inchmurrin for lunch. Despite the dreadful weather forecast we avoided almost all the rain. Alan thanked Tom Thomson for once again hosting the barbecue, and John Rankin for organising both events. Sandy Leven has again produced an excellent club Roundup chronicling our activities, plus the usual allocation of jokes! Where does he get them from? We have now cleared the tubs at Stirling station of their winter plants and will replant for Summer next week. We were pleased to toast the safe arrival of Peter Mehta's first grandson, Jack Parker. As a club we are now required to have a more formal policy in place to cover our insurance liability for all possible events There was some discussion of suitable paperwork which all members would require to sign each year, and this was passed back to Council for further consideration.
Next week 14th June, speaker's host Stewart Wilson, visitor's host Alan Skilling.
