Rotary club of Stirling meeting of 14th December 2018.
President Sandy Farquharson welcomed a good turnout of members to Xmas lunch, our last meeting of 2018. There will be a meeting of club council on 7th January 2019, and we will resume our Friday meetings on 4th January. We have now planted all the bulbs, Daffodils, Tulips and Snowdrops in the containers at Stirling station, and are looking forward to a good display in the Spring. The club has received a letter of thanks from Shelterbox. Each box, cost £350, contains enough basic equipment for a homeless family of four, the main destinations currently being Indonesia, Nigeria, Syria and Somalia.
After an excellent lunch, Faye McPherson tested our brains with a festive quiz, giving rise to not much enlightenment, but certainly much hilarity.
Our next meeting Friday 4th January will be a fellowship meeting, and possibly some pictures from Sandy Farquharson's recent charity bike ride in Nepal. Visitor's host Jane Wilson.
