During her year as President, Loraine Davis wishes to support the Croydon Neighbourhood Care Association (CNCA) Befriending Service, which offers support to both elderly carers and families caring for an elderly relative, and to elderly, frail people living alone, many of whom have no next of kin or support networks.
The Befriending Service includes home visits to the most vulnerable, with many receiving weekly calls, and a texting service to relatives. More general information is provided through Facebook and Twitter.
For more information, the CNCA may be contacted via https://www.cnca.org.uk/, 020 8654 4440 or info@cnc.org.uk
Sue McVicar from CNCA will today tell us more about this service.
