Holiday Bowls Tournament

Gather at Wilton Bowling Club: 5.00 for 5.30 start. T be followed by meal as normal at Mansfield House Hotel at 7 pm.


The Rotary Club held their annual bowls tournament last week thanks to the auspices of Wilton Bowling Club. In a keen contest the winning rink was Kerr Scott, David Oliver, Billy McWatters and Ron Smith who defeated the rink of Tommy Mulvee, Jim Walker, Mairhi Trickett and Ron Sutherland in the keenly contested final.

Ron and Pat Sutherland joined their friends from Selkirk Rotary Club and gave a presentation to the Galashiels Club on their recent visit and project in the Philippines earlier this year.

Amelia Kench, a senior High School pupil recently attended the Rotary RYLA (Rotary Young Leaders Award) Camp in Perthshire as a representative of Hawick Rotary Club and said she had had a fabulous time and experience and made many new friends in the process.
