9 children with special needs have fun day out at Cairnie Fruit Farm

Nine special needs children from Canongate with their nine carers were treated to a fun day out at Cairnie Fruit Farm as part of a nationwide day of action. Morrisons Supermarket once again generously provided tasty packed lunches. The children relish the freedom and carefree activities on a warm and sunny June day.  Away from the constraints of a normal school day the occasion affords a welcome opportunity to socialise and develop interpersonal skills. We were sorry that Madras pupils couldn’t be there too. Instead they attended an induction session leading to secondary school entry which unfortunately always clashes with Kids Out!
