Our Community and The Grenfell Tower fire disaster.

The date of 14 June will always be remembered in our borough as a day of tragedy forever linked with the Grenfell Tower.

Not Forgotten!

The date of 14 June will always be remembered in our borough as a day of tragedy forever linked with the Grenfell Tower. The 24-storey block of flats is in North Kensington. The fire caused 72 deaths and in addition 70 were injured. Of growing significance is the scar of this nightmare which has affected so many people both former Grenfell residents and in the wider community.

On this day, on this week we will remember all members of our community affected by the fire. We will also remember the valiant efforts made by the emergency services in the face of such a calamitous event. We will continue to support our partners efforts to, in particular, help the children of the community for whom this nightmare will have an enduring quality.
