Tony Hammond speaks to us about this small charity

Often former armed services personnel find themselves in a difficult position with nowhere to live. Single Homeless Charity Initiative (SHAID) is a small charity that runs St Peter's Court, a complex of sixteen self-contained fully furnished apartments specifically designed for former armed services personnel.  The development is situated within Sacriston, a village 3 miles from Durham City.

Tony told us about managing these appartments and the great work they were doing to support these people and help them get their lives back on course.
