Rotary Ride for Prostate Scotland
Sun 1st July 2018 at 09.00 - 15.00
Family Ride - Inverkeithing Park and Ride (Forth Road Bridge) to Newhaven (and back)
Rotary Ride is a series of bike rides organised by Rotary across the country to raise money for prostate cancer charities: Prostate Cancer UK, Prostate Cancer Scotland, Prostate Cymru and the Irish Cancer Society as well as local charities.
From family days, fun rides, static bike rides to more challenging events, there will be something to suit all abilities and you will help more people to beat prostate cancer
Carnegie Dunfermline Rotary is riding in conjunction with West Fife Rotary and we hope to have participation friom other clubs. The exact route is still under discussion but we will head across the Forth Road Bridge to Dalmeny then Cramond Brig along to Barnton and down to Newhaven, virtually all off road on cycle paths. Return along coast to Cramond up to Cramond Brig and then through the Rosebury Estate to South Queensferry and back across the Forth Road Bridge. The cycle is about 30mls in total.
There is a new fish and chip restaurant, the Fishmarket, opening on Newhaven Pier. This is a potential lunch stop.
Folks wishing to participate are asked to make a £10 donation per person via JustGiving. Kids accompanied by an adult are free. Of course, should you wish to raise funds for Prostate Scotland via sponsorship that is perfectly acceptable.
