Rotary Aqua Box and Shelter Box

Rotarian Tim Web gave all present on the 24th April a very interesting insight into the Rotary Aqua and Shelter Boxes

These survival Boxes have been distributed since 2006 and have saved the lives of many thousands of  people, especially children. "It is estimated that 25,000 children die every day from drinking disease-carrying polluted water. Aquabox can change that!"

Disasters can occur anywhere and at anytime. Indeed, daily news reports would seem to indicate an increase in the number of floods, earthquakes, landslides, and other types of calamity. These events usually result in damage to or pollution of local water systems. Aquabox enables victims of these catastrophes to temporarily purify polluted water, making it safe to drink.

Likewise, amid catastrophes produced by nature and mankind’s cruellest impulses, Shelter Box teams of volunteers rush forward. From the earthquake that killed hundreds of people in  in April to the continuing refugee trail out of the , Shelter Box has sent aid to help hundreds of thousands of displaced households.

Mae'r digwyddiadau hyn fel arfer yn arwain at niweidio neu lygru systemau dŵr lleol. Mae Aquabox yn galluogi dioddefwyr y trychinebau hyn i buro dŵr llygredig dros dro, gan ei wneud yn ddiogel i'w yfed.
