"For the third year running, we were lucky to enjoy glorious sunshine for Kids Out at Marwell Zoo. George and Anne Stephens, Tim Richardson and Caroline Brace hosted 14 excited children and 3 adults from Abbotswood Junior School to the special day out they had all been looking forward to.

Once everyone had been given a Kids Out baseball cap, we headed to the penguin enclosure. A train trip was next before heading up to the cheetahs, rhino and giraffe, where we were treated to a very informative talk.

The children enjoyed their picnic lunch, which was followed by a visit to the adventure play area so that the children could let off a bit of steam! Ice cream was next on the agenda and then we had an excellent view of the snow leopards.

Everyone was sorry to leave at the end of a most enjoyable day.

Apparently it was a quiet journey back to school in the minibus as the children were exhausted! "
