Lunch meeting

Thu, May 31st 2018 at 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Meeting at lunchtime because of Common Riding's Chase Night.

The Rotary Club held an informal lunch last week because of the Chase Night and introduced Miss Amelia Kensch, the S5 High School pupil who has been selected to represent the Club at the RYLA course in July in Perthshire.  In reply she thanked the club for nominating her and said how much she was looking forward to attending.
The finals of the Rotary District quiz were held last Sunday at Langholm Golf Club and the Hawick team of Jim Walker, Ron Sutherland, Ron Smith and Gus Neilson returned ecstatic and in a euphoric mood as they were the winners of the Plate Competition, for Clubs which had been knocked out in the first round.
