The East of England Paramedics and Rotarians from The Rotary Club of Felixstowe Landguard took part in the all day "Know Your Blood Pressure Event" on Saturday, 6th April 2019.
217 People were screened for High Blood Pressure187 people had Normal Blood Pressure readings which did not require any followup
26 required a Routine Check within a month
3 required urgent help within one week
1 person required immediate attention and was taken to hospital
2018
The East of England Paramedics and Rotarians from The Rotary Club of Felixstowe Landguard took part in the all day "Know Your Blood Pressure Event" on Saturday, 20th April 2018.
329 People were screened for High Blood Pressure
218 people had Normal Blood Pressure readings which did not require any followup
97 required a Routine Check within a month
14 required urgent help within one week
3 of these 14 people had exceptionally High Blood Pressure requiring a hospital visit as soon as posible.

Party on the Prom
more Party given for the Senior People of Felixstowe providing them with an opportunity to socialise and have fun. Musical Entertainment enjoyed during the Tea Party of delicious Sandwiches and Cakes.
Beach Clean
more The club in partnership with Suffolk Coast & Heaths undertake regular beach cleans for the section of the beach from the Golf club to the Ferry. 22kg of litter was collected in 2017 - volunteers are most welcome.
Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal
more Rotarians from The Rotary Club of Felixstowe Landguard take part in the annual Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal at Morrisons supermarket in Felixstowe. In 2019 £720 was collected and in 2018 £640
Purple for Polio
more To publicise Rotary's worldwide initiative to eradicate Polio 5,000 purple crocuses have been planted in the bank in front of the Spa Pavillion
The Grove Environmental Project
more Members have built 16 bird nesting boxes and installed a bench at Grove Wood.
