            Birthday boy this week was Owain who sent his thanks to the Club for his      card.

Pippa:

            Pippa had the operation on her wrist on Tuesday but suffered post-   operative complications and will be home later today.     Everyone sent            her their best wishes.

Tuesday, April 23^rd – Raid on RC Sandwich:

            Twelve members went took part in the Raid on RC Sandwich and were          made very welcome.     A really good evening  was had by all.   Many          thanks to Ron, resplendent in his £5.00 fez, for organizing it.   

Saturday, April 27^th – TWAM Collection:

   There are just enough volunteers signed-up for the TWAM collection but      if anyone else can come along to help they would be very welcome at         Stocks on Cromwell Road, Whitstable between 9 am and 1 pm.

Saturday, May 18^th – Gardening at the Whitstable and Tankerton Hospital:

   There will be gardening at the Whit and Tank on Saturday, May 18^th   meeting at the hospital at 9.30 am.    Please help if you can.

Tuesday, May 28^th - Lawn Bowls Taster Afternoon: 

   There will be a second lawn bowls taster afternoon on May 28^th.  There is     a form in the folder.

Possible Day Trip to Sandwich:

RC Sandwich has very kindly offered to organize a trip to Sandwich, probably in May or June, that would include a guided tour of the town, a visit to the Town Hall and museum and a trip up the Stour on a gunboat or boat trip to view the seals.   Ron put the plan to the meeting and it was agreed that he should follow it up.
