Suggested Twinning with RC Thimpu, Bhutan:

This was a suggestion from Emma Slade which was circulated recently seeking the views of everyone on the possibility.     Andrew B., who has had zero response, would welcome written comments from members before putting the suggestion back to the Board.

Possible Road Sign for the Club as the entrance to Chestfield:

Whitstable Lions Club have just put up a sign beside the road at the boundary of the town and the question was raised as to why the Club could not do something similar at the entrance to Chestfield village.     This suggestion has been explored previously and was turned down by Kent Highways which wishes to reduce road signage.        Ian suggested that his son, who has just been elected to KCC, might be able to put a case to Kent Highways.

Sunday, December 23rd – Car Parking  at Whitstable:

Car Parking on December 23rd was a bit disappointing.    Godfrey reported that in 2017 the Club raised over £5,000.00 from car parking and another £352.00 from the stall.    In 2018 the amount raised was slightly less but still over £5,000 with a further £200.00 plus from the stall.

Friday, December 28th - Breakfast at the Lounge, Tankerton:

The Breakfast at the Lounge was a success and 34 members and guests were there.   It felt that the Lounge was a better venue than the Bubble.

The next car parking is on Saturday, January 19th and there is a form in the folder.     Godfrey now has dates up to the middle of the year which will be circulated shortly.

Friday, February 15th – Ten Pin Bowling:

There is a form in the folder so please sign up if you would like to join the bowling and/or the meal at the Alimo afterwards.   The cost for bowling will be £12.50 per person for two games.   Sue will circulate the menu from the Alimo shortly so that everyone can make their menu selection in advance.

Saturday, May 11th – Barn Dance:

Pat is planning a Barn Dance on Saturday, May 11th but would like the agreement of the Club before going ahead.      David M. will recirculate the costings and Pat will put the proposal to the Club next week.

July (?) – Murder Mystery Evening:

Ron is developing a plan to hold a murder mystery evening at his home probably in July.    Details are to be finalized but as one of the ladies from the Club will apparently come to a grisly end he should get plenty of support for the idea.

Raffle and Master at Arms:

With no Jean S. and no Nick there was no raffle or Master at Arms.
