Interactors Breakfast, Paul Spencer Awards and presentation to Eric Phillips for the Cardiff County and Vale of Glamorgan Youth Orchestra

President Steve presents Eric Phillips with the cheque for the Youth Orchestra

Club members please log in for more information.

This morning's breakfast meeting was a time for presentations.

First, we welcomed Eric Phillips, the Musical Director of the Cardiff County and Vale of Glamorgan Youth Orchestra.  President Steve presented him with a cheque for £2408, from the concert we organised to showcase the orchestra in March.   Eric spoke eloquently about the orchestra's plans, and about the support given by Rotary.

We also welcomed Interactors and staff from our three Interact Clubs, at Whitchurch High School, Howell's School and The Cathedral School.  Each club nominates a member who is thought to have contributed most to their club's success in the last year.  They are rewarded with the presentation of a Paul Spencer Award, given in Paul's memory, as a Founder Member of the club and a former President.  We were delighted that Paul's widow Avril was able to join us to make the presentations. The winners shown below were Ellie from Whitchurch High School, Hema from Howell's School and Charlotte from the Cathedral School.
