Blind Courage by The Reverend Linda Dodds
The Reverend Linda Dodds gave a heartwarming talk about her father David Ronald Johnston who as a small boy in the 1920's was blinded when a dental procedure went horribly wrong. The event did not stop him living a remarkably full life, qualifying as a top-level shorthand typist, becoming a personal secretary and then going on to take increasingly senior positions in the Oxfam Charity. David eventually became Regional Organiser for Oxfam beating 500 hopeful candidates to the position. Reverend Linda has written a book as a tribute to her father's remarkable love, courage , determination and strength.
The book is entitled "Blind Courage" and is published by Mereo Books ISBN 978-1-86151-759-3
