Fairfield Sports Day -

Rotary Club of Birstall Luddites
Fairfield School Sports Day
Mon 24th June 2018

Birstall Luddites with Fairfield School held their Sports Day for the second year for all their students
to take part in the games and activities . This year students from Ravenshall School Dewsbury came to the school and joined in the activities.
Club President Helen Wall who also works at the school organised the day with the school.
Helen was instrumental in getting Tesco Batley to sponsor the day. Buying refreshments drinks and medals for all the students. This was led by Simone Rosly from Tesco who attended and helped all day leading to the medal presentation.
Adding to the exciting day Batley Bulldogs Coach and development Danny Maun visited with their mascot Jess. Also helping was Helen who leads PE at the school and organised the medal ceremony.
Ten Luddites and friends manned refreshments and helped with the sports day.
The day with brilliant sunshine was a great success enjoyed by all.  The Club were thanked by  Manager Steve for our help on the day.
Big thanks to President Helen and Tesco Batley for their sponsorship.
Hopefully this will be an annual Sports Day led by Birstall Luddites and will cement our
friendship with the school which also includes the Kids Out trip to Lightwater and
Santa visits at Christmas.

Note: I will include more photos when I receive them from Fairfield.. Jeff
