TRIP TO ST MALO WITH WESSEX HEARTBEAT.

Fri, Nov 17th 2017 at 12:00 am- Tue, Dec 19th 2017 - 12:00 am

Members had a terrific visit io St Malo and raised funds for Wessex Heartbeat into the bargain.

"In support of one of our President’s charities of the year, a small group of New Forest Rotarians availed themselves of an excellent deal from Brittany Ferries to join Wessex Heartbeat on bard the MS Pont Aven for a weekend trip to Brittany.

Tony Roe with Pat and a group of his bridge friends, John Bloomfield and Janis, Peter and Petit and Tim and Tina sailed from Portsmouth on Friday evening to St Malo. We had a drinks reception as we set sail with canapes. Each couple or individual had a cabin for two nights and a couple could take their car to tour around on Saturday.

The groups split up. Tim, Tina, John and Janis visited Mont St Michel, Cancale for lunch with some of it’s famous shellfish and then a quick supermarket trip before shopping and drinks in St Malo.

Back on the ferry and prepare for dinner in the best restaurant (a 4 course meal) before dancing, a raffle draw (unfortunately we didn’t win) and then retire before waking to breakfast and disembarkation.

Not bad for £99.99 per person! Wessex Heartbeat received a decent percentage of this."
