World Child Health

Tuesday the 14^th of November saw the club members present experiencing a very different type of presentation from our speaker of the evening.

Our speaker, Dr Lalith Wijedoru, a newly qualified paediatrician, who has experienced working at health centres in many parts of the world gave us an overview of the issues facing international child health, including a real case-study to illustrate some of these challenges.

What made this presentation so unique, apart from the information imparted,  was that some of the members present were able to log onto an Application on their smart phones to access an interactive program that enabled us to answer multi-choice questions which were presented on screen to the audience periodically throughout the presentation – I’m sure we had some of them right!!!
