David Bowley:

Jean M. has been visiting David regularly and Nick went to see him      recently.  David is in good spirits but his recovery will take time.    David        sends his very best wishes to everyone and would welcome visitors but   please             ring first (01227 375262).

David M. reminded anyone who has not paid their subscriptions that they     should be paid by the end of this week.

Opening Your Heart to Bhutan:

An application for a further District Grant to support Opening Your Heart      to Bhutan has been submitted.

Events Folder:

Could everyone please remember to put ‘No’ or an ‘X’ against their name      on the             forms in the Events Folder so that organisers of events know who          has seen the form.

Car Parking, July 14th:

Godfrey has barely enough volunteers to man car parking on July 14th and    he reminded everyone that the Club had agreed to keep going with car parking which is a major fundraiser.    Despite this, support from the         Club has been poor with less than half the members signing up to       help so that he has to rely on the same few people to keep going.  There is      a need for more members to help even if only for an hour or so each time.           The Club has signed up for car parking until January next year and there      are forms for each date in the folder.

Samba Band and Summer Beach BBQ, Sunday, July 15th:

The Samba Band will be playing its way from Hampton to Tankerton tennis courts on Sunday leaving Hampton Pier at 11.00 am.    There will     be a stop on the way at Seaview where Ron M. will be waiting with a          scrumptious BBQ for which donations (paper money only) will be       gratefully accepted.    The band will be collecting along the way for            Pilgrims’ Hospice and Opening Your Heart to Bhutan and Pat needs everyone who can help .       Please remember to wear a Rotary T-Shirt or     Hi-Vis jacket.

Bat and Trap Evening, Wednesday, July 25th:

The Bat and Trap Challenge evening against RC Whitstable will be at the        Huntsman and Horn,  Margate Road, Herne Bay, CT6 7AF starting at 7.00        pm.   Ron has to confirm numbers very soon so if you would like to help          the Club triumph yet again please sign up as soon as possible.   Sadly, RC             Herne Bay has another event that evening so will be unable to take part.

Greta Trip, Wednesday, August 29th:

The Greta trip has been rescheduled for Wednesday, August 29th sailing at    11.00 am.      So far eight of the maximum crew of twelve is able to make   the trip so that there are four places available.    Please contact Ron (Mob:    0784 868 9576 or Email: ronbenning984@gmail.com) as soon as possible    if you or friends would like to make the trip.
