            Pete                 Reggie             Myfanwy        Robert M.

            Wendy

Grace:            Ian

Elaine:

Everyone was delighted to welcome Elaine back looking fit and well.

Weekend of June 8th to 10th – Visit to Apeldoorn:

The Apeldoorn party returned safely despite trusting themselves to   Andrew B’s dubious helmsmanship skills.    Everyone enjoyed a great             weekend as Apeldoorn as such excellent hosts.     Sadly, the squirrel was        lost which involved a forfeit of Euros for a duck race in aid of homeless             children.     The prize is a car wash – in Apeldoorn!

Walk4Water, March 22nd 2109:

Apeldoorn are uncertain as to whether they will continue with             Walk4Water next year as their numbers taking part are going down and             they have the same frustrating problem of getting schools to respond.         They feel it might be time to try something new.        The Club does not      have to stop if Apeldoorn drop out and the feeling was that we should             continue but with a possible change of date to avoid Sports Relief.

Thursday, June 14th – Board Meeting:

Robert’s last Board Meeting as President will be this evening, Thursday,        June 14th at his house at 7.30.

Thursday, June 21st – Meal Steward:

Godfrey will still be away next week and apologies should be sent to Dave     C. whose contact details are as follows:   Telephone:  01227 740685         Mobile: 07824 325037         Email: dave.coupland@yahoo.co.uk

Saturday, June 23rd – Car Parking at Whitstable:

Only a skeleton crew has volunteered so far and more help is needed,            especially between 1.00 and 3.00 pm, as the minimum numbers are three            per shift.         Please sign up if you can help or contact Paul.

Friday, June 29th – Table Tennis Evening:

Dave C. reminded everyone about the Table Tennis evening on Friday,          June 29th.     So far eleven have signed up and Dave is waiting for numbers             from RC Herne Bay

Tuesday, July 3rd – Trip in the Greta:

The capacity of the Greta is twelve and unless this number sign up the          trip may have to be cancelled.      Guests are welcome and it was agreed to   see if anyone from RC Whitstable or RC Herne Bay might like to join the             trip.     The Greta will sail at 12 noon for a six-hour trip around Thames             estuary and the forts.    The cost will be £44.20 per person. Food is not          provided on board and everyone is reminded to bring a packed lunch.  A            number of members who have signed up have yet to pay their deposit of £20.00 and David M. asked that this be paid to him as soon as possible. Thursday, July 5th – Handover Meeting:

The Handover Meeting will be held at the Golf Club on the evening of July      5th when Robert S. will hand over to Pat.      The meal will be a turkey and          honey roast ham carvery followed by summer pudding and fruit compote at a cost of £18.00 per person.     Guests are welcome.     As usual this will      be a normal meeting of the Club when everyone is expected to attend      unless             they send Godfrey apologies in the usual way.    However, there is a            form in the Folder and Godfrey asks that everyone signs up if possible as           accurate numbers are important for the caterer.

Greetings from Other Clubs:

The returning travellers brought greetings from RC Apeldoorn and RC          Nijmegen.

Master of Alms:

            Paul did the honours.

Raffle:

Elaine won a box of chocolates.
