The Rotary Foundation

The Rotary Foundation is our Charity within Rotary and its aim is to give grants to clubs who use the money to fund projects around the world. The motto is: 'Doing good in the World' The funding comes entirely from members donations

The Charity was born in America in 1917 and is celebrating its 100-year birthday this year.

In 2013 the charity gave grants of £73 million which was used to:

·         Promote Peace

·         Provide clean drinking water

·         Save Mothers and Children

·         Support education

·         Grow local economies

It also gave £88 million for the eradication of Polio around the world
