Millionaire Quiz - 09/10/2017

Weekly Press Report

There was no Seagate Rotary meeting last week, as many members were away on the first of the local tribal rituals, the Wee Pies.  Other members had a ‘Scatter night’ making social visits to other Rotary clubs in the area.

On Saturday the club had a ‘Shanghai Supper’, a Chinese carryout for 20 hosted by Ian and Louise Dickson and organised by Pam Lodge.  On Monday a number visited the ‘Devil’s Porridge’ exhibition at Eastriggs, near Annan.  The former site of the largest munitions factory in the world, stretching over 9 miles along the Solway, the factory produced 1100 tons of cordite a week to charge the bullets and shells needed in both World Wars.

Monday evening’s meeting was a low key event, with a ‘millionaire’ quiz hosted by President Eric Greig.  Winner with the longest unbroken run was Adam Moonie, and overall most points scored was Sandy Niven.
