Rotary club of Stirling meeting of Thursday 7th September.

President Stewart Wilson welcomed members to an evening meeting of the club. Next week we will have a visit from District Governor Graeme Archibald.  At the end of the fishing season, Philip Allison was the overall winner receiving the Ron Philip cup, and the Slugger Trophy for the heaviest brown trout caught went to Robin Sutton. On the topic of fishing the club has taken responsibility for organising the next Scottish Rotary fishing competition, the Harry Rankine Trophy for 2018

Our speaker was our webmaster Robin Sutton, encouraging us to E Mail using our excellent club website. He laid out a systematic account of the steps involved, and to encourage us, a photographic competition, a prize to be awarded on Friday 22nd Sept. for the correct answer which must be submitted via the club’s website by 21st Sept. to qualify. Hopefully this improving information was taken on board by the members!

The vote of thanks was given by Alan Rankin.
