Croydon Rotary Club members were pleased to welcome to their meeting on 12 July 2016 two students from the Thomas More Catholic School.

Two students,Maxine Alleyne-Pacheco and George Burlat attended the Rotary Young Leadership Award event held at High Ashurst, near Box Hill, in May sponsored by Croydon Club. Clearly the young people had gained a great deal from the experience and one of them said "One of the best experiences of my life" and the other "It was a great experience. I met new people who have become friends and I did lots of things I did not think I could do"

The students were accompanied by the Head of 6th Form Abdul Chowdry, who will be retiring shortly, his replacement Leanne Yost and a Foundation Governor Elizabeth Budiar.

At the same meeting, we were delighted to welcome Rotarien Mildred Tettey who was visiting us the Rotary Club of Accra Spintex.
