Aug 2017 Litter-picking Opportunity - Histon, Girton, Oakington area

Sat, Aug 5th 2017 at 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Do ask David if you want a pick in your area ! Organiser David Adamson. We meet today in the side road by Gretton School on the Oakington Road (Histon side of Girton village.)

Today we had our regular opportunity to help the local envoronment and ensure wildlife does not suffer from peoples carelessness.

Thank You Everyone - we picked 8 full black bags between us - bottles, cans, wrappings, polystyrene, cigarettes, crisp packets and much more.

Come along , wear a high vis jacket and help in a very practical way while encouraging all passersby to be aware of the litter issue.

How many will we bags can we collect ? - our record so far has been 12 plus large bits of car and bike !

BOOK IN WITH DAVID - he will ensure we all get plastic bags, bag hoops, picker sticks.

Come in practical, sturdy shoes and clothing - with strong gloves a useful addition.
