A Music Competition for Young People aged 11 to 17

Music is an international language and Great Britain and Ireland is home to some of the most talented young instrumentalists and vocalists in the world, talented young people are encouraged to demonstrate their skill in two categories:

  • Solo instrumental
  • Solo vocal

Eligibility

New Bus

The competition is open to student who are in full time education and between the ages of 11 and 17 on 31st August each year.

In some competitions there are age categories, in Young Musician the two categories are for participants of all ages

The Competition

The competition is held to the young people to:

  • experience performing on a public stage
  • showcase their musical talent
  • receive impartial criticism and assessment of performance by experienced adjudicators

The Four Stages of this Competition:

  • Local Heats – To be arranged by Rotary clubs
  • District Finals 
  • Regional Finals 
  • National Final
