Rotary Satellite Club of Bishop’s Stortford - Inauguration


The club was officially inaugurated and its members inducted as Rotarians on Thursday 26th May 2017 by District Governor Terry Dean at an event at the Bishop’s Stortford Rugby Club.

The Rotary Club of Bishop’s Stortford set up the new satellite club in November 2016.  The club, which meets on the second Wednesday and fourth Thursday evenings of the month carries out hands-on community focused projects as well as helping to support the work of the Rotary Club of Bishop’s Stortford.

The club now has thirteen newly inducted Rotarians and three members of the parent club who have transferred to the Satellite.

The inauguration was held after a very enjoyable informal barbecue attended by members of the Satellite Club, members of the Rotary Club of Bishop’s Stortford, the District Governor Terry and his wife District Governor Nominee Pauline, Lesley Sulley District Governor Elect and her husband Martin, Assistant Governor Mike Griffin and his wife, and Assistant Governor Claire Jane Pavitt.
