President Gordon Burgess welcomed sixteen other members and passed on his compliments of the season. Alasdair Wilson reported that the first of the Rotary Purple for Polio crocuses was beginning to show in his garden.

The president displayed a copy of Rangers and Scotland goalkeeper and manager Bobby Brown's new autobiography and said it was the first autobiography he had seen in which the club was mentioned — Bobby having been a member for several years.

He had enjoyed coffee with him the previous day, and said that the 94 year-old was in good health and still a keen walker. "Bobby sent his greetings to all the members of the club," he added.

The first 2018 weekly draw for a whisky miniature, currently Ledaig from Tobermory, was won by Douglas Dow.
