Charity Concert at The Sage, Gateshead

Past President Peter Tracey has arranged a Charity Concert at The Sage in support of MacMillan Cancer care and would like the support of all members and friends of our Club.


The Concert is styled "Song on the Tyne" and will feature three choirs and a guest Soprano.

David Murray will conduct the Ryton Choral Society and Bishopwearmouth Choral Society in a programme of twentieth century popular songs which he as arranged for a four part choir accompanied by a string quartet. The programme will include classics from Lennon and McCartney, Simon and Garfunkel, Carol King and many others.  The third choir is the Tyne Theatre Stage School - an outstanding local youth choir that featured in the previous concert at the Sage arranged by Peter in 2015 to mark the start of the Club's centenary year. Also making a guest appearance wil be soprano Sally Harrison, who has sung at the West End production of "Phantom of the Opera"

Tickets ae £12 each and are available from Peter Tracey, from the Sage box office or from any member of the choral societies taking part in the concert.
