Bengal Villages Sanitation Facelift

A joint international project with Rotary Club of Durgapur Central (D3240)

Our club was able to join forces and support Rotary Club of Durgapur Central (D3240) to build 6 toilet blocks of 10 units each, in 2 West Bengal villages, benefitting almost 1,625 villagers.

The 6 toilet blocks are being serviced by 3 tube wells and 3 bore wells, which also provide clean drinking water for daily use by the village's residents. All of which are helping to usher in improved hygiene and sanitation to the villages.

In line with our aims to support sustainable projects, nominated villagers have been trained on the maintenance of the toilet blocks, to ensure their longevity for future years.

This is a huge project that we are immensely proud of. You can read more on the project here.
